Product Description
If fish had eyebrows, they'd be raised looking at this Minn Kota
Saltwater Engine Mounted (EM) motor, which delivers the
corrosion-resistant power of the Minn Kota Riptide without cluttering
your deck with a traditional mount. The EM motor mounts directly on the
cavitation plate of your outboard or I/O unit, with no stowing or
deploying required. Because the motor stays out of sight, it won't
interfere with your I/O motor and simultaneously keeps your deck
clutter-free--a convenient feature for smallish boats. The Saltwater EM
is also corrosion resistant thanks to its premium-grade marine alloys
and aluminum upper arms. The motor's metals undergo a rigid multi-step
cleaning process before being anodized or coated with a special zinc
dichromate armor plating. All components are then finished with a
durable 5 ml TGIC polyester, powder-coated paint. When all is said and
done, the motor offers unequaled corrosion protection no matter where
you like to fish.
Fishing motors by definition must be quiet, and nothing runs cooler or
quieter than a Minn Kota. The motor features extra-large windings and
commutators that dissipate heat, resulting in a cooler operation,
extended battery power, and a longer motor life. The motor's unique
bearing system, meanwhile, reduces friction to cut fish-spooking noise,
so they won't hear you coming as you cruise into a channel. And the
Saltwater EM comes standard with Minn Kota's Digital Maximizer
technology, which helps the battery run up to five times longer on a
single charge. Other features include an 18-foot corded remote speed
control that lets you adjust your speed in both forward and reverse;
sealed electronics housed in a fully waterproof control module mounted
below the deck of the boat; a Weedless Wedge 2 prop that pushes weeds
away without draining the battery power; and a two-year warranty.
